If you wanted to buy a frugal sports car, you’re reading the wrong review! Apart from its sexy styling, the Porsche 911 is known for one thing: high performance! To say that this car is fast is putting it mildly.

It comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre flat-six engine. Under standard guise, it boasts an immense 513 brake horsepower. If you opt for the “Turbo S” version, you can benefit from an extra 39 brake horsepower!

The standard Turbo model will get you from 0-60 mph in only 3.3 seconds. As you can imagine, the 911 isn’t a car known for its frugal fuel economy. At best, you can achieve a paltry 29 mpg. But fuel economy isn’t what the Porsche 911 is all about. If you wanted such a car, consider a VW Beetle instead (that is what the 911 is based on, by the way).

According to the guys at Red Line Specialist Cars, the Porsche 911 has a seven-speed automatic gearbox. Some Porsche models come with manual boxes as standard, but the 911 Turbo does not.

One of the biggest selling points about the car is that it offers immense levels of grip! The Porsche 911 is akin to driving a super-fast go-kart! Technology is abundant when it comes to improving handling in all kinds of road situations.

For example, did you know that the angle of the rear wheels is electronically controlled? There aren’t many cars that boast such innovative handling features! Drivers can also adjust the position of the front spoiler and rear wing at the press of a button. As you know, aerodynamics plays a huge part in achieving maximum performance on the road (or track).

By giving you the option to adjust the car’s aerodynamics, Porsche has let you have more control than ever behind the wheel. It’s no secret that the current Porsche 911 Turbo is perfect both on and off the track.

More gadgets than you can shake a stick at!

Some of the cool features of the latest 911 Turbo include 14-way electrically-adjustable front seats and steering wheel. You can also enjoy night driving, thanks to the bi-Xenon headlights.

Bluetooth, satellite navigation and DAB digital radio are just some of the features you can expect as standard. And, if the worst happens, the Porsche Tracking System can help you locate your car should someone steal it from you.

So, when will you be getting your new Porsche 911 Turbo?
