Driving is great, don’t get me wrong. But there are plenty of things about it that really annoy me. And I bet you feel the same way.
We all know that our cars hate us. Well, they must do. No matter how much you love them, that love is never reciprocated. How do I know this, you may ask. After all, isn’t a car just a car with no human emotions or feelings? No, no no, my friend. I’m sure they know exactly what they’re doing.
If they didn’t, they wouldn’t always break down when you have no money. They wouldn’t start that annoying rattling sound that comes from somewhere at the back just after you’ve blown your savings on that state of the art TV. Those costly breakdowns always arrive at the worst times possible. It’s just typical.
It’s not often that I find myself feeling jealous of people that live in the countryside – there’s too much nature and greenery for me! But one thing I am jealous of is their lack of traffic. It’s almost, but not quite, enough to make me give up the city and run away to the open roads of the country.
But seriously, nothing gets me more annoyed than rush hour traffic. You’re sitting there with a bus in front of you so that you can’t see what’s causing the jam. Then you look to the left, and there’s someone looking happy singing to the radio, and you wonder why they aren’t as annoyed as you. And worst of all is that guy to your right who seems to be staring at you whenever you glance to the side!
I’m a pretty calm driver, and I’m sure you are too. I like to relax and enjoy the ride when I get behind the wheel. But not everyone seems to take the same attitude. Believe me, I’ve seen the most mild-mannered people turn into raging maniacs when they’re on the road. I swear I was even cut up by a Catholic priest once!
It’d be funny if it weren’t so serious! Because it’s always these people who end up causing damage to your car and even hurting people in crashes. There’s nothing funny about that! If it happens to you, contact The O’Connell Law Firm. These people need to get what’s coming to them, so get the compensation you deserve.
Driving is expensive. Unfortunately, there’s no getting around this fact. That’s what’s so frustrating about it. There’s nothing you can do to change it. Right now fuel prices are slightly down, but they’re still very expensive – and you can bet they’ll get even more expensive in the next few months.
I’ve often wondered how much money I’d save if I simply stopped driving. I promised myself that I’d give it a try for a month and see what the outcome was. But I still haven’t done it, and that says a lot. However much the cost is, it’s probably not enough to make most of us stop driving! We’d miss it too much.
As much as driving annoys us, we love it really!
